Edit Files metadata using existing editor/live boards:read/write gates. First action=operation returns a server-issued requestId and epoch; save both, then action=mkdir with input {parentId,name,requestId,epoch}. Identical retries reuse the receipt; changed inputs refuse. No top-level receipt. patch {nodeId,metadataRevision,patch:{name?,parentId?}}, trash and restore {nodeId,metadataRevision} use exact metadata guards; lost responses must be inspected, never retried with a silently refreshed guard. Trash retains its existing 30-day deadline. Permanent purge is not exposed by this tool. Release/restore/canonical-home/fence checks remain live.
